Hey neighbor — I’m Albert Mora, founder of TidyPig Cleaning.

I am a music student at Columbus State University, majoring in Double Bass Performance, and originally from Cuba. I started this business right here in Columbus to serve the community I’m proud to be part of.

How TidyPig Cleaning Was Born

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to start my own business — something outside of music that could help me support my family and eventually give me the freedom to live life on my own terms. I’ve always had the bigger picture in mind: to help bring my family together, and when the time comes, be able to give everything to my own future family — especially time. I knew I had to build something, but figuring out what that would be took some trial and error. I explored all kinds of ideas — from starting a sprinkler business after working with a sprinkler installation company, to trying music apps, selling products online, and even cutting neighbors’ lawns. I was always looking for something I could believe in and grow. One day, I saw my sister working for a cleaning company, and it got me thinking. What if I started a cleaning business that was easy to book, well-organized, and focused on doing great work every time? I wanted something simple and reliable, where both clients and cleaners could have a smooth experience from start to finish. With a lot of passion and a small budget, I launched TidyPig Cleaning just one month later.

My mom has spent over 30 years working in the hotel industry, and from her, I learned the value of doing things with care, showing up with consistency, and taking pride in every task — no matter how small. That mindset is part of everything I do with TidyPig Cleaning. I chose to grow the business here in Columbus, GA, a city I love and feel connected to. Starting something here felt meaningful — a way to serve the incredible people in this community and build something real and lasting.
